Heating orHeat recovery from humid air to water
The problem
GRO Industrier, Tönsberg, Norway produces happy smiling potato chips. The exhaust air from the process line is not only warm and humid, but also very greasy.
The first challenge was to recover the energy to water with a temperature rise of 70°C, which requires nearly the same leaving water temperature as entering air temperature. The second challenge was to condense out enough moisture to eliminate ice formation on the roof in winter time.
